Outline:This study on productivity trends in Germany covers a broad discussion of measurement problems (both conceptually and empirically), an comprehensive comparison of productivity patterns between different countries (on the aggregate level as well as on the industry level), and an in-debth analysis of drivers of productivity. In particular, structural, cyclical and technical factors are to be identified.
